(Xinhua Photo)According to statistics, the local government has built 4,564 low-rent houses in Lhasa and other six prefectures in 2008, endeavoring to continue improving living conditions of the low-income urban residents in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
From 2009 to the end of 2010, the low-rent housing policy in Tibet will benefit more local people because the income restriction on applying for such houses will be lessened.
