The 2nd Session of 9th People's Political Consultative Conference of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) opened at 9:42 am, January 12 in Lhasa, capital of TAR. 368 delegates from around TAR attended the conference.

Pagbalha Geleg Namgyai, vice chairman of TAR People's Political Consultative Conference as well as vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), presided over the opening ceremony.

With full preparation, delegates in attendance expressed that they would fulfill their duties to offer suggestions for TAR's development.
