
The Chamdo Sewage Disposal Plant, the world's highest one at 3,290 meters above the sea level, was finished construction, with a daily handling capacity of 18,000 tons.
The plant, also the first sewage treatment in the headstream of Lancang River, was built with 6.13 million euro donation from Germany and 30 million yuan for China itself.
With the establishment, the sewage, which used to discharge directly to the Lancang River directly, will be dealt first to reach the standard in order to protect the water quality of Lancang River.
