Tea party held in Lhasa to celebrate upcoming new year

Tibetans who had been living abroad and relatives of overseas Tibetans chat during a Tibetan New Year tea party in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, Feb. 20, 2009. The tea party was held here Friday to celebrate the upcoming Tibetan new year, which falls on Feb. 25 this year according to the traditional Tibetan calendar, and was attended by more than 100 Tibetan compatriots who returned to live in China and relatives of overseas Tibetans.
