Tibet to build up museum of natural sciences

The National Development and Reform Commission has approved the construction of the Tibet Museum of Natural Sciences, according to Tibetan local authorities Thursday.

With a total financing of 400 million yuan RMB, the museum, covering 30,000 meters square, will be an integration of the science and technology hall, museum hall, and exhibition hall.

It will have exhibition rooms in the public activity area, public service rooms in the reception area, research rooms in the maintenance area, and management rooms in the office area.  

The museum will play a significant role in showcasing the unique natural diversity on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, spreading science knowledge, and demonstrating the progress and development in Tibet.
