09:05, April 29, 2009

The Tibetan singer group Acha Tsendep has been invited to join the "Legend of The Dragon--Jackie Chan and his friends Concert 2009," in Beijing on May 1.

This means that members of the group will have the opportunity to perform in the Bird's Nest-- the National Stadium -- with other top singers. And they will also become the first ethnic pop vocal choir to make commercial performance there.

As the first Tibetan female pop vocal group, Acha Tsendep, with a pretty appearance and bright clear voice, has drawn great attention of the public.

"Acha" in the Tibetan language means sister. The invitation to Jackie Chan's concert has excited the three Tibetan sisters so much.

Even so, all the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to charity, according to the organizer of this concert.

Since they stood out in the Young Singer's Contest 2002 sponsored by CCTV, the three Tibetan girls have been supportive of public welfare.

They always join various charity-related concerts and do charity work as goodwill envoys. So far, they have donated thousands of books to 13 primary schools in poor areas in Tibet.

Actually, this is not the first time for Acha to cooperate with Jackie Chan. Their joint music production can be found in their newly-released album "Meet You" . One is the song titled "Love Flies ", in which Chan tries for the first time to sing in the Tibetan language.
