Bu Norbu's way of becoming rich

Zhao Xiaoping, Chief editor of CTIC, poses with Bu Norbu, photo by Wang Fei from CTIC.As a common rural man from Luoma town of Nagqu county in Nagqu prefecture, 43-year-old Bu Norbu has become a leader for helping the local people become rich.
He learned driving when 16 years old and a year later he did transportation business in Nyima county, Shuanghu county and other remote places in northern Tibet. With the operation of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, he became a boss by transporting architecture materials such as sand and stones because each truch can bring 300,000 yuan annually. Later, he set up the 1st rural organization for economic co-operation in northern Tibet.
Bu Norbu began to think of ways to help villagers after he became rich. In 2005, he invested more than 200,000 yuan to build a factory for making ghee. At that time only 12 households provided milk for him. After some time he found that the profit is much higher if the milk is made into yoghourt instead of ghee. So he began to make yoghourt and other milk products such as lala besides ghee.
As his business grows, more and more people cooperate with Bu Norbu to provide him yak milk because he will share profit with the rural people after yoghourt products sold out. Currently, 1,972 people from 328 households have signed contracts with him.
Last year, his investment on purchasing milk and lala reached 3.18 million yuan. And each household that cooperated with his factory can earn 30,000 yuan by selling milk.
Also he has a dream: to set up a modern yoghourt factory after purchasing equipments concerned. At that time people in the mainland will be able to taste yoghourt from northern Tibet.
These are rural people in northern Tibet! They are worthy of great respect from the world.
