With the development of the Tibet Autonomous Region, more and more rural people from Panam county and Gyangze county in Xigaze Prefecture as well as Doilungdeqen county in Lhasa have opened exclusive shops selling zanba of high quality and their business is hot.

As a kind of natural green product, zanba has abundant nutrition such as vitamin E and calcium. Just as a Tibetan saying goes:"Though the brown sugar is savory, it is not as lasting as zanba."

In front of the the Gyangze Exclusive Zanba Store in Lhasa, the journalist saw Buqung, the shop owner, sell 6 bags of zanba within 10 minutes.

Buqung told the reorter:"My business is really good every day and I have many customers not only from Tibetan nationality but also from Hui nationality, Moinba ethnic minority, Lhoba ethnic group etc. They all like zanba very much. Staying in Lhasa for a long time, I have known about the local people's eating habits."

All the zanba of high quality in Buqung's shop is made from the Gyangze Tashi White Zanba Processing Factory. Currently, the factory has set shops in many places such as Xigaze and Lhasa. The factory has unique advantages: the Gyangze county is at the upstream Nyang Qu River and is within the top 100 agricultural counties among China; it offers highland barley of high quality, which is good raw material for making zanba.

Nowadays, zanba, the characteristic industry in the plateau, has become highlight of Tibet's economy. With market-oriented consciousness, the rural people have benefited a lot from the industry.
