08:24, May 31, 2009

Danzeng Cilie is a villager of Lingang in Nyemo County of Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region. Upon graduation from a junior middle school ten years ago, he started a business from scratch to produce Tibetan incense, and now he has made a fortune and is living a well-off life.

Everything is difficult at the start, and so it was for his business. Funds, land, materials...problems cropped up one after another. To raise money for his business, Danzeng persuaded his parents to sell their only cow and some other things of value; to build a workshop, he emptied the bedroom, leaving only a bed to sleep on.

Danzeng ran around without resting and bought in a large amount of materials for making Tibetan incense. To produce quality incense, he spent a month learning techniques in Tunba-- the "home of Tibetan incense."

After half a year of preparations, Danzeng's workshop finally got on the track. Then he made several trips to Nymno, Lhasa, and Xigaze to probe the incense market and tried to ink some deals.

After his investigation, he focused his attention on the Lhasa and Xigaze markets. Later, he woke up everyday before dawn and looked for a market to sell his products. His efforts finally paid off, with his incense beginning to sell well.

As his business went well, Danzeng spent a lot of money purchasing advanced equipment and building two larger workshops. He also improved techniques and expanded production.

Always adhering to the principle of honesty and integrity, Danzeng persisted in inspecting in person every batch of his products to guarantee the quality. Therefore he has obtained the trust of his clients.

Having becoming prosperous, Danzeng Ciren never left his fellow villagers behind. He supported orphans in his village in going to school, made many donations for road and bridge construction and tree-planting. Every year he spends money helping the childless old people, and hired jobless young villagers in his incense workshop.

Meanwhile, Danzeng spares no efforts to help his fellow villagers to eliminate poverty and leads them to the path of prosperity. He has provided training in incense making for free for 100 villagers, and encouraged and financed dozens of households to produce incense and engage in animal husbandry. Led by and helped by him, Lingang villagers have set out onto the path of prosperity.
