On June 3, students of the Jiacuola Hope primary school in the south of Shigatse, Tibet, admire photos taken by environmental protection volunteers for them.In recent years, the enrollment rates in the cities and surrounding areas in the Tibet Autonomous Region have essentially reached 100 percent, while the enrollment rate in farming and pastoral areas is also increasing year by year.
The central government and relevant departments in Tibet have continuously increased investment in education.
Take the Jiacuola Hope primary school in the south of Shigatse for example; the school currently has 624 students. There is not a single school-age child in the surrounding area that has dropped out of school or is being deprived of an education. The school's rate of retaining students in education has hit 100 percent for a number of consecutive years.
