(Xinhua Photo)Tibet Pavilion for Shanghai World Expo with the title of "Heavenly Tibet" is to open on May 1, 2010, at the key area of the hall for China's provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities at the Expo's Shanghai City Square.
Upon completion, the pavilion with unique Tibetan features, along with the week-long "Tibet Week" in September next year, will become a special view at the World Expo.
At the expo with the theme of "Better City, Better Life," the Tibet Pavilion will focus on displaying the new Tibet, new life, new development and new changes in the region. The pavilion will also exhibit Tibet's unique natural sceneries and profound culture with typical Tibetan cultural symbols.
Meanwhile, the "Tibet Week" will promote Tibet to the world with art performance, intangible cultural heritages and various cultural activities.
