(China Tibet Information Center Photo)Xie Jisheng, professor with Fine Arts College of Capital Normal University, director of Tibetan Buddhism Arts Research Center and director of CAPDTC gave a lecture titled "Spreading of Tibetan Buddhism in Inland" on a column named "Tibetan Culture Lecture" organized by China Tibet Information Center and TibetCulture.net on June 30 at the Centennial Hall of Peking University.
Students from universities and colleges in Beijing have been attracted by the lecture and Xie Jisheng made communications with the student audiences.
Gelek, deputy director-general of China Tibetology Research Center, vice secretary-general of CAPDTC emphasized the characteristic charm of Tibetan culture and introduced the current status of Tibetan culture study at home and abroad when giving a speech. Gelek also expounded the policies and measures the central government has taken to preserve and develop Tibetan culture.
China Tibet Information Center (www.tibet.cn) has specially launched a new column-Tibetan Culture Lecture this March. The column aims to carry forward as well as protect the traditional Tibetan culture, serving as platform for those who love or be interested in Tibetan culture, to understand the history and fact of Tibet, and providing an opportunity to remark on their interested fields and express their feelings. The Tibetan Culture Lecture is also a place to show and spread the achievements in Tibet.
In all there will be four such lectures held in the Peking University with different topics.
