(CFP file Photo)Flights from Lhasa to Shenzhen via Chongqing, which had been suspended since the end of March 2008, officially resumed on July 1 due to market demand. The flights take off at 2:20 pm from Lhasa on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, reporters learned from Shenzhen Airlines on June 30.
A ticket from Lhasa to Shenzhen via Chongqing costs around 2,400 yuan. Tourists traveling from Lhasa to Chongqing can enjoy a discount of 32 percent, but the number of these discounted tickets is limited on each flight, said an officer from the airline's business department in Lhasa.
The officer added, "We are currently offering a 'single ticket' service from Chinese mainland to Hong Kong. It is as convenient as taking a direct flight.”
In addition, the airline has launched a "buy one, get one free" promotion. Tourists who buy flight tickets from Lhasa to Shenzhen will be given free entrance tickets to Shenzhen's tourist attractions and free accommodation vouchers.
Shenzhen Airlines tickets can now be purchased in major ticket agencies in Lhasa.
