CPC journal "New Tibet" launched on birthday

A ceremony was held in Lhasa Wednesday to mark the official launching of the journal "New Tibet" (in both Tibetan and Han languages) on the 88th birthday of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Attending the ceremony were Sun Ming, finance director of the General Administration of Press and Publication, Legqog, chairman of the Tibet Regional People's Congress, Yin Deming, director of the Organization Department of the Tibet Regional Committee of the CPC, and Cui Yuying, director of the Publicity Department of the Tibet Regional Committee of the CPC.

Addressing the ceremony, Legqog said the publication of "New Tibet" is a major event for the CPC members and the masses and also a gift for the CPC birthday.

He stressed that the journal will function as an organ of the Party and the people and is an important component of Party's work.

Integrating the resources of the journals "Party Life in Tibet" and "Tibet Communication," the regional committee of the CPC launched "New Tibet" as the first province-level CPC publication in Tibet.
