
A German is watching pictures on the exhibition. (Xinhua Photo)Launched by the China's State Council Information Office, the Chinese Embassy in Germany and the Chinese Culture Center in Berlin, the "Tibet's Past and Present" exhibition opened on July 2 in the Chinese Culture Center in Berlin.
With 100 pictures, the exhibition boasts four parts: Tibet's history, Tibetan feudal serfdom, beautiful and rich Tibet, and the new Tibet.
Zhang Junhui, counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, welcomed 200 attendants from China and other countries. He said: "The 50 years of history for Tibet's democratic reform are a history for Tibet from darkness to brightness, from degeneracy to progress, from poverty to prosperity, from autarchy to democracy, and from obturation to openness. Pictures on the exhibition are historical proofs for Tibet's development."
This exhibition receives appreciation. And many foreign visitors express that the exbition shows a true Tibet and such exibition is vital because it can correct people's false understanding about Tibet.
The glee club of the Nanjing Arts Institute, who is in communications activity in Germany, performed songs such as "Tianlu" that reflect Tibet's achievements.
