For the past five years since the foundation of Tibet's Tohlung Dechen Agricultural Marketing Association, great results have been achieved with the support from all circles and now it is striving for creating "the 1st special vegetable village in Tibet" where villagers can get rich by planting vegetables.

In the beginning of the association's foundation, the association faced many difficulties such as lack of funds and experience but by conquering those difficulties, the association stepped into a formal running way.

Since 2007, the association has adjusted itself in management and production. It adopts the system of 3:7 for the orders with rural households (30% of the profit belongs to the association and 70% belongs to the rural households). When rural households' benefits are influenced by market prices, the association will offer them some allowance.

In addition, the association will help rural people sell all the pollution-free vegetables. Reducing the marketing cost saves about 300 yuan of each greenhouse for rural people. Up to the end of 2008, the marketing department of the association has sold 2.5 million kg of pollution-free vegetables with the income of 4.8 million yuan, which has spared more than 120,000 yuan of marketing cost for rural people.

Benefiting from the association, more and more rural people join in the organization and now 258 households have attended the Tohlung Dechen Agricultural Marketing Association (only 11 households joined in at first).
