In 1950, China issued the first "Marriage Law" which abolished arranged or forced marriage, let men and women enjoy the equal rights. In 1980, "Marriage Law" was revised and increased the principle of family planning which changes the family structure in China. In 2001, the "Marriage Law Amendment" calls for protecting the interests of the vulnerable groups in the family.
In the past 60 years, the forms of marriages have great changes with the development of society.
