In the past half year, Lhasa has achieved labor income of 160 million yuan by importing rural labor of 39,000 people. Departments concerned in Lhasa have taken 10 measures such as expanding investment and supporting businesses.

In order to enlarge the investment, Lhasa had allocated two million yuan to train rural people before the special fund from the Tibet Autonomous Region reached. Since the beginning of this year, training for rural people has been launched and the content includes highland barley processing, vegetable planting and farm product marketing and etc.

According to practical needs and labor demands of the market, for the first half year of 2009 the training for rural people has achieved great effect in three fields: practical technology in agriculture and husbandry, employment transfer and vocational education. A lot of technicians and experts for rural work have been trained.
