World's leading futurist John Naisbitt visits Lhasa, Tibet

The world's leading futurist, American scholar John Naisbitt and his wife Doris, are now visiting Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region.

John Naisbitt, 80-year-old, published his new book "China's Megatrends", written with his wife Doris from Germany, on September 3, analyzing China's model from eight aspects, what they call the eight pillars of a new society, and what enabled China to change in only 30 years from a nation of poverty and backwardness to the third largest economy country of the world.

Once in the world of politics, he was assistant to the Commissioner of Education under President John F. Kennedy and served as special assistant to HEW Secretary John Gardner during the Johnson administration. In 1968 he founded his own research company.

His international bestseller Megatrends sold more than 14 million copies and was on the New York Times bestseller list for more than 2 years, mostly as number one.

He is famous for authoring world bestsellers, like Megatrends, Megatrends Asia, China's Megatrends, Megatrends 2000, Megatrends for Women, Global Paradox, High Tech High Touch and so on.
