Hydropower station in township with smallest population starts operation

Currently, a new hydropower station in Yumai township of Lhoka prefecture with 32 people (Yumai is a township with smallest population in China) has been put into use. With 1.9 million yuan from the local government, the hydropower station started construction in 2008 to meet the local people's electricity demand.
