Lhasa's investment in fixed asset reaches 8.89 bil in 3Q

Second forum on the development of Tibet

The investment in fixed assets in Lhasa, capital of Tibet, stood at 8.89 billion yuan in first three quarter, up 27.19 per cent year-on-year, maintaining a relatively rapid growth, according to Tibet Business.

A report on indicators of macro economic performance in Lhasa in the last nine months was issued on Wednesday, in which, each economic indicator in Lhasa is showing the trend of accelerated growth.

According to the report, investment in the primary industry was 423 million yuan, secondary industry, 1.19 billion yuan and tertiary industry, 3.92 billion yuan, in the first nine months. The increase as compared to the same period of last year was 55.51%, 83.64% and 53.94% respectively.

Construction of urban infrastructural facilities has been improved step by step. Projects totalling 82.82 million yuan as an effort to build itself into a garden city has been completed while renovation on streets with an investment of 117 million yuan is proceeding smoothly.

Meanwhile, 31.69 million yuan was pumped to build teachers' dormitory for Lhasa First Junior Secondary School and improve educational environment in 17 county level primary schools.
