Tibet's capital of Lhasa signed three investment agreements of 190 million yuan RMB (27.8 million U.S. dollars) during the 10th Western China International Economy and Trade Fair.
The fair was held in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, from October 16 to 20, according the Lhasa City Bureau of Investment Introduction.
Of the figure, 140 million yuan RMB (20.5 million dollars) will be spent on the development of water resources and hydropower engineering on the Nimu River, 30 million yuan RMB (4.4 million dollars) on the project to develop the Tunba Tourist Zone, and 20 million yuan RMB (2.9 million dollars) on the project to turn out and install steel structures.
A 17-member delegation from Lhasa attended the fair and brought ten kinds of most distinctive products, including the 5100 mineral water, Lhasa beer, yak beef jerky, foods made from highland barley, Tibetan incense, caterpillar fungi, and saffron beverage.
