Addressing the meeting, Feng Yuan, vice chairman of the China Artists Association, said that the meeting provided a precious opportunity for Chinese and Italian artists for communication.
Pan Shixun, a famous Chinese artist, displayed through a slide show his artistic works on Tibet since 1960 to enable the audience to know Tibet's development in every area.
The attending Italian artists spoke highly of the exhibition of Chinese paintings on Tibet being held in Rome, praising it for showcasing to the European public the artistic accomplishments of Chinese artists.
Casolati, professor of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma (Rome Academy of Fine Arts), said that the exhibition enhanced the mutual understanding between Italian and Chinese artists.
"Snow-covered Plateau", the exhibition of Chinese paintings on Tibet, was inaugurated in Rome on Friday.
