Construction of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Public Art Gallery, starting from April, is expected for completion at the end of this year, according to the Lhasa Evening Newspaper Monday.
The gallery will cover a total area of 4,451 sq m after completion, with a floor space of 1,793 sq m expanded.

(Photo Source: Lhasa Evening Newspaper) In recent years, with the rapid development of popular arts in Tibet, the former gallery cannot meet the needs of the public with its small floor space and the shortage of supporting facilities, said a leading official of the gallery.
To date, construction of the principle part of the project has been completed and workers are now busy with building the outer walls.
