
The opening ceremony of photo exhibition showing Tibet's past and present was held in Dalem, Nepal, Oct 22. (China Tibet Information Center Photo)The two-day photo exhibition kicked off in Dalem, Nepal on Oct 22 with over 400 people including mayor, parliamentarians, businessmen, academics and media celebrities in attendance.
Qiu Guohong, ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Nepal said:" Since the democratic reform in Tibet, we have made remarkable achievements in politic, economy, culture and other fields in Tibet. And the relations between Nepal and China, culturally and socially can root back to ancient period. We are ready to consolidate and develop the relationship between the two countries and push forward China-Nepal neighborly partnership. "
Local citizens gave warm welcome for the photo exhibition titled "Tibet of China: Past and Preset" and impressed by the great developments of Tibet in the past 50 years.
The exhibition shows the process of Tibet from darkness to brightness, from poverty to prosperity, from autocratic rule to democracy, and from self-seclusion to opening up.
