(China Tibet Information Center Photo)Founded on April 19, 1959, Lhasa Haicheng Primary School in Chengguan District is the first primary school run by the local people. In 1997, the district government together with Beijing Haidian district invested some three million yuan to improve the school condition.
Nowadays, there are 1,300 students in 25 classes with the enrollment rate for school age children climbing to 100%.
