(Xinhua Photo)The Tibet Autonomous Regional Government will introduce a commodity circulation system involving construction of logistic distribution and delivery centers covering all 73 counties and urban districts in 2010.
Tibet will also build or rebuild at least 1,500 rural stores, in a bid to spur consumption in agricultural and pastoral areas.
Each newly-built or rebuilt rural store will receive an extra subsidy of 2,000 yuan (242 U.S. dollars) from the regional government, plus a fixed amount of subsidy of 6,000 yuan from the Central Government.
In July 1, Tibet launched a campaign to give rural residents more discounts in prices of household electrical appliances, such as TV sets, refrigerators, washing machines, and electric butter blenders, as well as furniture.
