(Xinhua Photo)To give the public an easier access to enjoy the scenery of the Lhalu wetland, Lhasa, capital of Tibet, built a low white stone curb to replace the existing huge high metal railing.
The construction of the stone curbing at the Damrad Road has already been completed, according to Choeta, deputy head of the Lhalu Wetland Management Office on Wednesday. Besides, a three-kilometer-long and ten-meter-wide green belt will be planted soon outside the curbs.
To prevent the unauthorized from trespassing upon the wetland, the management office will set additional patrol on the Damrad Road. Furthermore, measures including closure protection and irrigation will be taken to increase the coverage rate of vegetation and water of the wetland.
