The competition was sponsored by the China National Committee for the Well-Being of the Youth.
The Gesangmedo Treble Choir is made up by 33 children of farmers and herders in Nyemo. Two songs of the choir performed during the competition on Oct. 24 and 25 were awarded.
The performance with Tibetan features shows the vigor and vitality of the Tibetan children and youth, which was unanimously acclaimed by the sponsors, the experts and the judges.
After the show was over, the committee and the Underdeveloped Regions Cultural Promotion Association of China donated books, clothes, schoolbags and other articles worth 15,000 yuan to members of the choir.
