(Lhasa Evening News Photo)A total of 389 youths in Lhasa, capital of Tibet, have applied for the winter recruitment for China's armed forces, the People's Liberation Army, as of November 7, according to the Lhasa Recruitment Office.
The recruitment in Tibet will wind up at the end of this month, with the registration time effective from November 1 till 7.
Of the total, 365 young people have passed the preliminary examination and will take physical check-ups on November 13.
Those passing the physical check-ups will have a written test, with female applicants taking an additional interview to showcase their artistic skills and language performance.
