Qinghai Lake targets to 5A standard

Qinghai Provincial tourism bureau plans to recommend Qinghai Lake scenic area to National Tourism Bureau as 5A class before the end of this year.

5A is considered as the highest rating for a tour site in China and it's more human-oriented and specific than a 4A level tour site. There will be 12 aspects to be examined including tourism communications, sight-seeing environment, tour safety, etc.

Despite the fact that there are 11 international level, 52 national level tour sites, 20 established national class A scenic areas including 13 4A level ones, 5A level tour site is still non-existence in the province. In contrast, other provinces that are also in the west part of China such as Ningxia, Gansu have 5A level tour sites.

Based on resources condition, Qinghai Lake, which is ranked as the most beautiful lake in China is definitely capable to become a 5A class tour site.

The provincial commission and government have taken universal operation to the Qinghai Lake for over two years, and the tour site administration bureau also tries its best to strengthen the infrastructure construction and management software upgrade, which makes Qinghai Lake scenic area to have dramatically improvements on tourism environment, safety, service functions, comprehensive resource management, ecological protection and market value. Qinghai Lake is approaching the 5A standard continuously.
