(Xinhua Photo)A total of 3,000 computers were donated to Tibet on Tuesday to step up the development of the region's educational sector and enrich students' extracurricular life.
The move was part of the campaign titled "sending computers to the western region" jointly initiated by the Civilization Work Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture.
The computers will be distributed to middle schools and primary schools throughout Tibet, so as to enable more students to obtain information from the Internet and improve the underdeveloped network-based education in the region.
