Tibet set the target at the beginning of 2009 to make telephones accessible to another 320 villages this year, with the China Telecom Tibet Branch responsible for 120 villages by and the China Mobile Tibet Branch for the rest.
In spite of difficulties brought by Tibet's geographical conditions, the China Telecom Tibet Branch has met its target set for the whole year ahead of schedule.
Meanwhile, the China Mobile Tibet Branch has made telephones accessible to 101 villages, 50.5 percent of this year's target.
