
The Federation of Trade Unions of Lhasa City, capital of Tibet, offered 23,000 yuan in subsidies to 12 exceptionally poor workers on Nov. 20.
The federation has granted 284,000 yuan to 223 impoverished workers so far this year, according to Tibet Business.
The 12 workers are from the Environment Protection Bureau of Chengguan District of Lhasa, the No.2 Construction Company, and other organizations.
A staff worker of the federation said that to improve the living conditions of those workers, the federation has also held driving training courses for them.
