A photo exhibition titled "Tibet: present and past" opened in Pokhara, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal, on Friday.
The five-day exhibition is being sponsored jointly by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal and the Nepal World Culture.
The 200 photos feature the development and achievements that China's Tibet has made in the past 50 years.
Hao Peng, executive vice chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Government, told the opening ceremony that the Tibetan people have made great achievements under the leadership of Chinese Central Government since the democratic reform began about a half century ago.
He also expressed the hope that the exhibition will help repudiate the lies of the Dalai clique and enable the Nepalese to know a real and developing Tibet.
Chairman of the culture net spoke highly of the great changes Tibet has made since 1959, and expressed the hope of enhancing the communications and cooperation in various fields between Nepal and Tibet.
The exhibition was held earlier this year in the Nepali capital of Katmandu and eastern city of Dharan, attracting 7,000 visitors.
