The medical staff spread the AIDS prevention and control knowledge and urged the public to care more about the HIV/AIDS patients and carriers.
Except for Ngari Prefecture, six other prefectures in Tibet have reported HIV/AIDS-positive cases, according to Yudron Lhatso, an official of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
Tibet has been doing HIV/AIDS prevention work since 1994, with all medical institutions establishing laboratories to test the virus.
