Tibet has 195,070 vehicles as of November

As of November, the amount of vehicles in Tibet Autonomous Region stands at 195,070, taking the 3rd place in China in terms of per capita vehicle ownership.

With the economic society continuously developing and the people's living standard improving gradually, Tibetan people's quality of living and consumption conception are changing. As of the market of vehicle trade, more and more Tibetan people get the driving licenses and have the ability to buy cars.

Up to December 1st, the total amount of vehicles in Lhasa, capital of Tibet, is 92,000. Of the total, the private car takes up more than 70,000, 11,000 more than the same period of last year.

It is expected that the figure will reach 100,000 by year end. Analysis indicates the reform of fuel duty and policy on reducing tax on purchasing cars with low discharge volume contributed to the increase of vehicle number.

In the last twelve months, more than ten thousand cars with low discharge volume were registered. According to relative department, the proportion of car buying among farmers and herdsmen is increasing.
