Tibet has two more state level scenic spots

Two scenic spots in Tibet Autonomous Region were inscribed into the 7th list of State Level Tourist Attraction.

The two scenic spot are: the Mt. Nyainqentanglha-Namtso Scenic Spot that spans the Damxung County of Lhasa and Bangoin County of Nagqu and Tanggula Mountain-Nujiang River Headstream Scenic Spot with a total coverage of 5,900 square kilometers

Within the Mt. Nyainqentanglha-Namtso Scenic Spot, there is the world's highest lake, world-famous Mt.Nyainqentanghlh and modern glacier relics. With unique ecological system in the plateau, there lives abundant wildlife and has complete and typical geological structure and ecological system.

Lake Namtso with an elevation of 4,718 meters above the sea level, is the highest and biggest salt water lake in the world.

The Nujiang River is China's important river flowing from north to south. It has its source on the southern slope of the Tanggula Mountain Range in Tibet, flowing across Tibet and Yunnan Province, with a total length of 2,816 kilometers and a drainage area of 324,000 square kilometers. The upper reaches of the river are known as the Naqu River in Tibetan.
