10 Tibetans arrested for illegally entering Nepal
09:26, January 20, 2010

According to Global Times, 10 Tibetans were arrested after illegally entering Nepal Jan 16.

They were found in a county not far from the border of China and Nepal. They didn't have any valid travel documents and had no way of communicating with police. They have now been handed over to immigration department for further investigation.

According to an official of the Nepal government, the 10 Tibetans who entered the country illegally will be repatriated to China.

AFP believes that the Nepal government's declaration has made clear their hardball stance to the Tibetan separatists.

Because of the difficult geography, illegal entry has always been a problem in Nepal. The Chinese government also has declared many times that China attaches great importance to combating illegal immigration.

Nepal is located between China and India; the Nepal government supports the one China policy and believes that Tibet is an inalienable part of China.
