The Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the world's highest rail line, is running safely over three years and the tracks on frozen ground are in stable conditions, sources from Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company.

"In over three years since the launch of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, our company has adopted various measures to monitor, inspect and maintain the tracks on frozen ground." Li Li, staff of Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company said.

The tracks on frozen ground are under automatic inspection, which provides around-the-clock data on weather and ground temperature and safeguards its stable operation.

The Qinghai-Tibet Railway with 550-kilometres track of Golmud-Lhasa section sitting on top of frozen ground is the highest and longest frozen-ground railway in the world.
