Previously, he had not found a good job since graduation. "I can go to work tomorrow. Thanks for the Regional Government and the Communist Party of China."
The Tibet Autonomous Regional Bureau of Labor and Social Security launched in various neighborhood communities on Jan. 10 a project to help college graduates, the unemployed and the disabled seek jobs.
Led by Tibet's Labor and Social Security Bureau, the Regional Federation for the Disabled, the Employment Bureau and other government offices, The Hebalin Neighborhood Committee in Lhasa offered 123 welfare jobs such as secretaries and traffic wardens.
In addition, Tibet's employment departments also provided 300 jobs such as management staff, teachers, interpreters and chefs.
Suonima, a resident of the Hebalin Neighborhood Committee, went to the job market for her daughter who is disabled. She has been worried about her daughter as she could not find a job after she dropped out of college due to her poor health.
Having learned that the committee would organize such a job market, she went to obtain more information.
After consultation she found a couple of jobs suitable for her daughter and she would discuss with her daughter after getting home. "The job market is really helpful to me and I hope that more such events will be held," said Suonima.
According to a leading official of the committee, a total of 3,000 brochures were distributed in the market and about 80 employers have intentions of hiring the local residents.
