Indian media: Obama-Dalai Lama meeting is boring drama
16:03, February 22, 2010

Many international media gave comments on U.S. President Barack Obama's meeting with the Dalai Lama in Washington on Thursday.

An article issued on India website (http://www.mynews.in) said "The Thursday talks between Obama and Dalai Lama is nothing but a long drawn out and boring drama over Tibet in which India and China have also made their equal contribution in muddying the water since 1950 when Dalai Lama fled in 1959, after a failed uprising against Chinese rule, and took asylum in India."

A U.S. citizen named "Mr. President, focus on the US" expressed his thinking about Obama-Dalai Lama meeting on business week website. He said:" Gotta love the Chinese, they are so practical. 'Useless' is exactly the word to describe these meetings. A waste of time. Obama should focus his attention on creating jobs. Who gives a crap about Tibet? It's not our problem!"

An article published on Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po described this meeting is gross interference in China's internal affairs and it will cause serious harm to Sino-US relations. Obama's meeting with the Dalai Lama has exposed how the US has revived its Cold War mentality and is attempting to create trouble and contain China's development.
