Mysterious Guge Kingdom, Ngari

With the development of tourism industry, the ruins of Guge Kingdom in Tsada County, Ngari Prefecture have gained new vitality from its ancient culture and history. Featuring gold and silver Buddhist statues, deserted caves and well-preserved frescoes, the ruins of the extinct kingdom have still remained charming after more than 1,000 years.

The mysterious Guge Kingdom was situated at 18 kilometers west of Zhada county around the 10th century. The royal palace of the Guge Kingdom continued to expand from 10-16 century. The ruins of Guge Kingdom covers an area of about 180,000 square meters, with more than 300 meters high.
