Fuel surcharges for Lhasa-Chengdu, Lhasa-Chongqing and Lhasa-Beijing flights have reduced to 40 yuan from 50 yuan since April 6, according to the Tibet Branch of Air China International. However, the fuel surcharge of Lhasa-Chamdo airline remains. The Tibet Office of Sichuan Airlines also adjusted fuel surcharges yesterday.
The reason for the price fall is that Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd, Shenzhen Airlines and other 4 airline companies announced yesterday that they reduced fuel surcharges: the fuel surcharge for flight within 800 kilometers (including 800 kilometers) is still 20 yuan; the fuel surcharge for flight above 800 kilometers costs 10 yuan less (the former one is 50 yuan).
