13:59, April 21, 2010

The Jokhang Temple and Ramoche Monastery, both in Lhasa, capital of Tibet, will still open to tourists during the coming May Day holiday despite renovation.

Tourists visiting these two monasteries were not affected by the repair project that started from July 2009.

"Around 500 tourists visited the Jokhang Temple every day, much more than the past two months," a worker of the Jokhang Temple Administration said as the monastery saw an increasing number of tourists since April.

Only reinforcing of Aga soil left unfinished for repair of the Jokhang Temple, which will not affect the visitors. Tourists are very interested in the process of reinforcing Aga soil.

Aga soil has also been reinforced in the Ramoch Monastery and the monastery will guide the tourists to avoid from influence by the renovation.
