More Tibetan graduates work in inland areas
10:10, May 26, 2010

As the market-oriented employment system is improving in the Tibet Autonomous Region, more Tibetan graduates have found jobs in China's inland areas, according to a principal of an employment department in Tibet.

"The number of students from Tibet who work outside is increasing year after year," said Lin Bing, vice director of the Graduate Employment Service Center of the TAR Office of Social Security and Human Resources, "Last year about 1,900 graduates (10% of the graduates) from Tibet found jobs in inland areas, and in the past two years, the proportion is about 8% to 9%."

The reform of employment system in Tibet began in 2006 and in the past 4 years Tibet not only has offered talents to inland areas but also has attracted many graduates from inland areas.

The communication is encouraged as it can boost the development of Tibet.

"After mastering advanced technology, Tibetan graduates can contribute to Tibet after they return to their hometown," said Lin Bing.
