Targyailing Monastery in Shigatse.

Targyailing Monastery also named as "Old Targyailing Monastery" is located at Luga Village of Gyailing Town in Saga County, 495 kilometers away from Shigatse Prefecture, south of China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

Built during the 4th Dalai Lama's reign, Targyailing Monastery belongs to Gelug Sect known as a branch monastery of Ramoche Monastery in Lhasa. "Gangbung Qiadron" is worshiped as the major Buddha in this monastery.

Covering an overall area of 1,100 square meters, Targyailing Monastery now has two Dratsangs, one sutra hall with 10 monks is reputed for housing 100 volumes of "Kanjur" and 250 volumes of "Tanjur".
