Tibetan antelope in Changtang Nature Reserve

In order to preserve Tibetan antelope, Changtang, the habitat of Tibetan antelope was designated as a nature reserve by China's Tibet Autonomous Region in early 1990s. It has become the largest terrestrial wildlife reserve in the world.

In 2000, Changtang Nature Reserve was upgraded to a state-level conservation zone, which has played a significant role in protecting Tibetan antelope.
