Plateau wetland magnetizes thousands of migratory birds
08:42, March 01, 2011

With the pleasant climate and beautiful sceneries thanks to the natural wetlands on both sides of the Yellow River, Guide County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province has for long been dubbed as the "Highland Jiangnan (meaning areas to the south of Yangtze River known for its fertile land)".

A larger number of various migratory birds, such as swans, ruddy shelducks and bar-headed geese are attracted to stop over for winters from mid-December to March every year.
