Postcards stamped with images of noted tourist destinations in southwestern China's Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) were sold like hotcakes among tourists, according to the China Postal Tibet Branch.
The China Postal Tibet Branch sees more than 400 tourists sending postcards to their friends and relatives every day.
"Tourists are lining up to stamp the images of tourist destinations by themselves, " said a worker of the service center.
Now six distinct commemorative stamps are available in the China Postal Tibet Branch. They bear respectively the images of the Mt. Qomolangma, the Potala Palace, the Namtso Lake, the law wheels with eight auspicious symbols as well as the Tibetan letters reading "Tashi Delek" (good luck and good wishes) and "Lhasa, Tibet".
"I sent the postcards to my friends who also dream of visiting Tibet. I believe that they would be excited to receive such a special postcards," said the first-time visitor Mofei from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Perched on top of Hongshan Mountain in the center of Lhasa, Potala Palace was first built in 641 by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo to greet his bride Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). It then became the chief residence of the Dalai Lama after it was reconstructed by the Fifth Dalai Lama between 1645 and 1693. (Liu Xuan / China.org.cn)
